Have any of you got some good ideas for a Visiting Teaching workshop? Our ward is going to have one at the end of May. So we have a few weeks to plan it. Have you gone to any that were inspiring or uplifting to you?

When I lived in Florida, my visiting teaching companion and I would plan a brunch on occasion where we'd invite all the women we taught. We brought everyone together and it was so nice to eat and chat (and of course you could check off V.T. all at once!). Workshop, though......I've seen a lot of cute things done with blocks of painted wood (6x6 and about 1/2 inch thick)where you could put a cute saying, along with a black and white picture of kids or family, and some scrapbook ribbin. They turn out really cute. We did three at a time and connected them with tiny hooks and ribbon (according stylish). That may not make any sense at all. Let me know if you're interested and I'll call you or something.
About making pictures.....all you have to do is download (free) picassa 2 on your computer and it lets you play around with colors and all sorts of things. It's great!
Love you.
This website has a few ideas for a VT workshop. I hope it helps! Good luck with the planning!

I haven't answered this yet because I don't have any good ideas. I'm glad that you have gotten some good ideas from Deb and Karmen.
I second what Sondra says. Our ward has never done it, so I'm clueless. I AM now in the presidency, so I guess I'm gonna go check out that website Karmen mentioned and show it to our president. I'm also loving Deb's idea of inviting all the people I visit teach to my house for lunch... It would kill 2 birds with one stone! (Or 5 in my case, since I VT that many ladies...) :)
Hey- I pre-ordered mine from Borders and they didn't make me pay, so thought I would let you know~
